Let’s Get Wired Moves Good Vibes Down the Street

Updated: Nov 5

It’s been over a year since Let’s Get Wired opened its doors at 91 Main Street in Stafford. In that time, it has significantly contributed to the growing feeling that downtown is becoming a destination. Now, owner Charlette Michaud is moving shop down the road to 64 Main Street. Not only will the new space move Let’s Get Wired closer to other businesses like Stafford Cidery and Stone House Apotheca, but the new space will allow her to grow the business into something more than just a store and make it more of a destination.

Here's the lowdown for those who have not stopped into Let’s Get Wired. You can buy all manner of rocks, crystals, jewelry, and other items that go along with the theme of being a “one-stop good vibes shop.” In the new location, Micahud says she wants to turn it into an artist collective where locals can enjoy and showcase their art. (If you are an artist who wants to showcase your work, stop in!)

Michaud also wants to hold more of the small events her shop has become known for, like meditations and sound baths. “We want to cater to the community in a healing aspect,” she says. She wants people to feel comfortable stopping in to hang out or read a book from her planned library. Visitors can leave a book, take a book, or hang out with a book for a little while.

“This is a safe space,” she says. There is no alcohol allowed, and she hopes people will find it a place to unload or celebrate. Michaud says she likes to collect and donate food to SafeNet Ministries, and dreaming big, she hopes to someday start a non-profit that focuses on helping women who have come through challenging situations.

Let's Get Wired Grand Re-opening

For now, though, she’s focused on the Grand Reopening scheduled for this weekend.

After several weeks of moving her inventory from one location to the next and spending hours setting up the shelves, Michaud is almost ready to reopen. In addition to participating in the Trick-or-Treat on Main festivities, the shop will be open October 26-27*. A pop-up market will have local artisans, tarot readers, and raffles (the proceeds will benefit SafeNet). So be sure to stop by to take a picture with the new window art and a mural inside.
