As we all recognize, our district, state, and country urgently require strong leadership to
overcome anger, division, and hate. We need public servants who can envision a
brighter future and maintain hope for our great state and nation. And we need
representatives we can trust to deliver for our communities.
Occasionally, an extraordinary individual emerges, ready to say, "Yes, I will serve." That
individual is Ethan Werstler, the candidate for the 52nd House seat. Ethan is young,
passionate, and enthusiastic. His journey into politics began at Woodstock Academy,
where he flourished in the Model UN and the debate team, developing public speaking
skills that reveal a maturity beyond his years.
At UConn, Ethan deepened his commitment to community service, engaging in
meaningful initiatives while pursuing a degree in political science and communication.
He served on the board of trustees, where he created impactful programs for his fellow
students.
After graduation, Ethan dove deeper into the political scene. He played a vital role in
Joe Courtney’s campaign and then worked at the State Capitol in Hartford, where he
gained valuable insight into how elected officials secure funding for communities in
southern Connecticut. Now, Ethan is ideally positioned to be the advocate our small
towns have gone without for far too long–to finally help bring state funding to the
northeast corner of our state.
Ethan combines intelligence and a thorough understanding of Connecticut’s legislative
process with genuine warmth and charisma. A brief conversation with him reveals not
only his impressive political acumen but also his unwavering determination to effect
change. It’s evident that Ethan is the right choice to revitalize our district and lead us
forward.
I wholeheartedly support Ethan Werstler for State Representative for Somers, Stafford,
Union, and North Woodstock.
