Happy Spring from the Rotary Club of Stafford! We jumped right into the spirit of the season with our Rotary Student of the Month celebration for the March, April, May, and June 2024 recipients. Their selection was based on nominations from teachers and staff at Stafford High School who believe the students chosen possess the qualities of leadership, civic involvement, responsibility, and commitment to class and community, all of which are valued by the Rotary Club.
This celebration highlighted four seniors from the SHS Class of 2024. The March recipient was Kiera Dreisch (top left). The April recipient was Justice Allen (top right). The May recipient was Cole Hasel (bottom left). Makenzie Warren (bottom right) was the recipient for June.
Following a delightful dinner, Rotary President-Elect Francis Moriarty, Stafford High School Principal Marco Pelliccia, and Superintendent Steven Moccio presented the students with their awards. The audience heard impressive accolades about the students, such as their infectious enthusiasm for learning, visual and literary arts contributions, student-athlete achievements, and commitment to volunteerism. The students also answered club members' questions about their path to success and their plans for the future.
We are so proud of all of this school year’s recipients!
On Saturday, May 18th, the Rotary Club of Stafford hosted a table at the 3rd Annual Child Safety Day at Stafford High School. The rainy day couldn't stop this fun and informative event. The Rotary display highlighted the importance of staying hydrated and demonstrated the amount of sugar in common drinks. The turnout was wonderful and we were so grateful to be involved again this year.
