Stafford High School Columnist Contest

Stafford Free Press is looking for a motivated Senior from Stafford High School’s Class of 2025 to submit a monthly column during the school year.

We’re looking for a columnist (or maybe a columnist team of no more than two people) who loves to write about high school life, has good editorial judgment, and meets deadlines. And, let’s face it, you’re probably looking for something to put on your college applications and make you stand out from the crowd. Does that sound like you? Here’s what you need to know:

• Submit a 500-800 word sample column about the end of the school year on or before August 1, 2024, via Google doc

• We will review all submissions by August 15, 2024

• We will announce the winner publicly by August 30, 2024, but will inform you first to confirm you are still able to meet the requirements

• Columns will be due by the last day of the month, beginning on September 30, 2024

• Send your submission to editor@staffordfreepress.com on or before August 1, 2024
